He's still in that bleeding house, getting to know the locals.

And the narrative still revolves around the life histories of the Vangar family.

Does anything happen in this bloody book?

Is it worth sticking with it?

Or should I chuck it in the bin and get the DVD?

I have about ten otherbooks on the go, so I won't miss it.

TGWTDT is trying my patience ... it is THIS CLOSE <--> to being dumped.

^^the original triligy..not craigy
Or Craig Daniels as CD prefers to call him...
I read the trilogy last year and I loved them, watched the Swedish version of TGWTDT film a few weeks ago, it was very well done and very faithful to the book, so if you want to dump the book, go for the film.

"apparently some people only eat lasagne with beef"

Err ... yaa haa !!

How else does lasagne come ???
I really really tried with this....got through book 1 and mired to the Knees in book 2....really hard work and not particularly worth it imo
Not really keen on Jo Nesbo either, but I do like Henning Mankel the Wallander author.
My mum felt simiar to you Woofy, enjoyed 1, got a bit bored during 2 and wasn't very keen on 3.
Yep ...Wallander is the way to go if you want bleak Nordic Noir ...Brilliant .
He's the Norse Morse .
just click the link, JJ... if you dare

Moose meat ???
I've read all three, they're 'alright' at best.... Not the best examples of nordic noir by a long shot. But they did introduce me to the genre so I'm pleased I read them for that reason.
or possibly elk, the copywriter seems in some doubt.

And you can have strawberry moose for dessert.
I have read all three books. Not only have I read them - I have read them FIVE TIMES. Absolutely worth sticking with - I loved them. Lisbeth is now my favourite literary heroine. I will no doubt read them again. Don't even think about watching any of the films till you have read the books. The swedish versions are more true to the book, but the girl who plays Lisbeth in the DC version is outstanding.
Thankyou so much!! I have tried and tried to read this book and get into it but I just can't. My friend was raving about this "wonderful book". ..really??????? she told me you have to read it. why?????? Sorry this book is now going back to its owner without having read it. Brenda x

There can't be too many "moose" gags around!

Hmm ... Lisbeth isn't featuring very much ... not yet, at least.
I ditched it half way through...
Inspector Morse ......That's why they call him the Norse Morse . Not Moose :)
Question Author
Support for this book seems kind of mixed.
the fact that everyone is trying to change the subject is perhaps all the answer you need.

Okay, I'm going to bed ... to stick with it for a bit.

That Editor woman has just turned up in the last chapter. I think she's come for a shag. I hope they manage to warm up the bedroom a bit.
