Crow is driving us bonkers

We got back from holiday yesterday, to notice that most of our windows at the rear of the house were kinda all messed up! Like as if a dog had pawed at them. However, as the upstairs windows were also the same, that kinda ruled out the dog theory!

Then, while we're sat having dinner... a huge bl**dy crow flies striaght at the french door windows, and continues to do so for quite a while... as we all watch it thinking what a spazzy bird it is!

Then, when it starts doing the same to the other windows, we realise we've found our culprit.

From 4am this morning... this bird has pecked the hell out of the windows. Very very loud. Its like it wants to get in, and it's on a mission!

What is WRONG with it?? Is it mental?? What can we do??

Just a guess, but it might be feeling territorial. It could be seeing it's reflection in the window and trying to attack it, thinking it is another crow. I'm not sure what you can do to prevent it happening but I am sure someone else will be along soon with an idea!

Try covering the window (from the outside) or you could try sticking a picture in the window of a bird of prey to scare it away. Failing that, you could dress as a scarecrow while you go about your daily chores. (That last one was a joke, but you never know, if the situation gets desperate, it just might work!)

Just found a website that mentions hanging a sun- catcher in the window and/or long pieces of string dangling in front of the window. Hope that helps.
