John Cooper Clarke gig - who was that man?

I went to a JC Clarke gig tonight and saw a guy there who I recognised but couldnt name. It's driving me mad!
He is a big guy, maybe a poet, maybe a reviewer, maybe a Manchester lad, maybe not. Has a small mohawk, very good looking.

Mark Kermode keeps popping into my head but it isnt him.

No idea, but I bet it was a great gig. Saw him a few weeks ago on the Southbank and he was fantastic. Did he do Beasley Street and Beasley Boulevard at the end...?

He didn't end with them Mark but he did perform them - brilliant.

I saw him in Brighton a couple of weeks ago, I also recognised him but couldn't remember his name. He must get that a lot.
I googled punk journalist and that's how I found him.
