Missing Application

I have recently re-set Firefox on my computer I now find a certain very useful application has gone missing.

I refer to a tag that once appeared on the R/H side of my screen, when I clicked on this it shot-out and I would enter a word into the window and it would give me information on that word.

Also if I pointed to an incorrect spelling of a word my mouse pointer and press the Alt key and the R/H button on my mouse it would give me alternative similar words.

Does anyone know what this application was please, so that I can reinstall it?

Was it branded at all? Was it a certain dictionary for example? Or would it pull from a variety of sources?

Have you checked the firefox > add-ons screen to see if it is kicking about in an old format, but disabled?

Hi AB Editor Thanks for your reply.

I have managed to find out what it was called, it was 1-Click Answers.

I tried to re-install it but for some reason it comes up with a message that states my computer protection may be stopping it from finally installing, and suggests I install it manually what ever that means.

But it has at least installed the side pop out, but the Alt-Click doesn't work, I will uninstall everything I have installed and start again.

Any news on my username yet?

You might have better luck if you click off your firewall for the downloads.

Start/settings/control panel/firewall.

I keep my firewall off (not recommended) but thats me.

Enable your firewall and anti virus software as soon as you have installed the software program you wish to install.

However, if my PC was warning me against installing something I would be inclined to take notice and stay well away.

Tamborine, you really should stop giving computer advice.
