Name Of A Poem About Rats
12 Answers
When I was a little boy my mum used to read us a poem about a man being chased by Rats. It went on and on as the man was chased across land and sea....it used to scare the bejesus out of me, which is probably why my mum read it to us!!
I have tried to find the poem but have drawn a blank....I have three children who need a good scaring so can anyone help identify the Poem.
I am sure it isn't the Pied Piper.
Perhaps my big sis (who will no doubt post in a few mins!!) can remember more
Thanks

@Cupid: Yes, google has LOTS of poems about rats. Too many in fact. I thought that the well educated inhabitants of AB-land would be able to remember if from school (and probably recite it in full!!)

I know it's not the poem you wanted, but I found this for you:-
There was this rat that marched across the room
Looking for some food to consume
He found the cheese that was in the trap
One good snuggle and down came the flap
It popped him hard on top of the head
One gasp of air and suddenly he fell dead.
