Question Author
should we tell them, x

Sir Alexander Arnold Constantine Issigonis, CBE, FRS[1] (18 November 1906–2 October 1988) was a Greek-British designer of cars, now remembered chiefly for the groundbreaking and influential development of the Mini, launched by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) in 1959.

I think most people would say that he was most famous for the Mini....certainly with me.
I'll bet plenty of people will em.

By the way ............. what's The Chase?
/what car was Issigonis famous for?/

was that definitely the wording?

if so - stupid imprecise question; as he worked on so many models - with mini arguably the best known
Question Author
tv programme on 5pm each day, hosted by Bradley Wiggins...
I would have said Mini!

OK. Thanks em :o)
Question Author
sure that was it, and one the other week, how long does a USA President serve in office, i always believed it was 4 years a term, but that got a wrong blip from Bradley.. he said it was five...
Question Author
i think he said what car was he most famous for, which in my book makes that the mini...
If so em that is a very dodgy question

Question Author
Bradley Walsh, you know i have been sitting here for ten minutes thinking i put the wrong name, sorry about that, would be funny if it was Bradley Wiggins.. x lol
Question Author
not as a rule. The woman got the question right, but for some reason he didnt give her the 1,000 pounds...which goes towards the rest of team who get through..
perhaps they could revive that question for Family Fortunes:

we asked 100 people which car Alec Issigonis was famous for...

there were four types of reply, one being 'who is alec issigonis?'
Question Author
i knew who he was, and would have thought that the woman got it right, still there you are...
yeah

that's show business :-)
