It was given to a friend of mine and she's fallen out with the person who gave it to her, so sadly it's been dumped in the garden (I've just rescued it and given it a clean up).
I'm guessing it's Indian, It is made out of a piece of carved wood which is fairly light in weight and is about 2" tall. I'd just like to know who it represents, maybe royalty, maybe a goddess, maybe a re-incarnation of both.

The 'Tilaka' (mark on the forehead) identifies her as being Hindu. The colour and shape of the tilaka specify which god or goddess she follows. It's not too clear from the photo what the colour and shape is. You could have a look on Google for 'tilaka' to see if any descriptions match the one on your carving.
