The book written by Virginia Andrews in the 80's - Flowers in the Attic was supposedly based on a true story. Petals on the Wind was the sequel but couldn't have been a true account of what happened to the children afterwards so what really happened or was the 'based on a true story' line an advertising gimmick?

lissyl i loved the heaven series too , i may be sad but the heaven series and flowers series i love em that much i have to read them all at least once a year.
my god im sad.
fina this book is a great read it is so emotional and traumatic its the only book that i have ever really had a weak moment with watery eyes and actually feeling physically sick at some parts.
