Got charged a late payment fee on a bill , i forget to pay .
Rang up company - spoke to young lady - she was adamant that they would not waive the fee , evan with me threatening to move to another company .
Days later - phoned company again - spoke to another lady .
No problem sir we will waive fee .
Motto of the story - try and try again .

You acknowledge it was your fault as you had forgotten to pay, you have accepted the service providers Ts&Cs but think it is worth chancing your arm again and you got lucky.
I wonder if the charges would be lower if your service provider didn't roll over every time they paid out to forgetful customers?
