I read so much I've come to a bit of a dead end with some new choices, recently read 'We need to talk about Kevin' which I absolutely loved, appreciate any suggestions of a similar genre...

Try anything by Anne Tyler, quirky but amazingly perceptive at times.
I LOVE Anne Tyler. She is brilliant.
Also try Running With Scissors by Augusten Burroughs or Broken Biscuits by Liz Kettle.
I'll Go to Bed at Noon by Gerard Woodward.
And slightly more quirky, The Mammoth Cheese by Sheri Holman
Try 'The Hundred Year OLd Man Who Climbed Out The Window' by Jonas Jonasson
I'm re-reading, for about the millionth time, Green Darkness by ANya Seton.
