Magnifying Glass In Hand Luggage
Because of poor eyesight I use a magnifying glass to read.
I will be flying on holiday next week and wondered if I would have
a problem carrying the magnifying glass in my hand luggage?

It certainly doesn't break any of the specific rules on the contents of hand luggage. (The only way that it could be considered 'dangerous' would be if you were to break the glass and use it as a weapon but that could also apply to any of the millions of bottles of booze, purchased in airport shops, which are carried in hand luggage every year).
