How To Read Agatha Christie’S Poirot
6 Answers
Inspired by the last ever episode of Poirot last week, I have set myself the challenge of reading all of Agatha Christie’s Poirot stories. I’ve read the odd one before but not seriously. Which would be the best (most enjoyable) way to read them? By publishing date or by the story date?

I absolutely loved them when I was 12-13 and probably read 20+ Porot and Miss Marple books and always hoped to see them all as films, but since then I have never been that keen on the films and TV series and haven't had any desire to read the books again.
But your thread has inspired me- i may do as Mamya suggests and start with the first Poirot one.
Thank you for the idea

I generally read any series in order of publication, but I read them all the Poirot (& Miss Marple) books in my teens and it really doesn't matter as each is separate & complete and there are no spoilers in any of them. Of the other Christie stories, if you've read none, I would start with The Murder of Roger Ackroyd: I can still remember what a brilliant twist it has. Happy reading:-)
