There is a book entitled "Art is" - one page concerns an emotion and the other page shows a painting depicting that emotion...or summat like that. But does anyone know the author(s), as it's diff to try and find it using art is on Amazon. Ta Muchly.
Are you totally sure about that title, Woodelf? (Hello, by the way!).
By law, a copy of every book published in this country has to be deposited with the British Library. Although their catalogue lists 28 volumes that begin with the words 'Art Is' there is no book listed that just has those two words as the complete title.
Aha! Since it's from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, it's probably not published in the UK. That would explain it. (Well done, Canary 42!).
And I echo Buenchico's words Canary and an extra Brilliant from me and Many Thanks. But the book is on sale in UK, as my partner saw it in Wstones yesterday and to save you asking why I didn't ask her, I'm hoping she'll have forgotten about it by her birthday...being as I am, I have to buy on what I hear and remember!
