Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of a website that offers genuine, knowledgable valuations of a piece of art?

The said item is a watercolour painting I have recently come into possession of, and I suspect is worth a few squidlets.

A free, or cheap, approximate valuation is what I require until I track down somewhere I can take it in person.

Thanks.

I have googled the artist and his works sell for widely differing amounts from £60 to £3000.

It's not a Rembrant for Van Gogh... Unfortunately !!, But could be worth selling if the price is right.
Some of the major auction houses used to do valuations for free. It may be worth a try - I am sure that I used an online service a couple of years back.
This was recommended to me by a retired antiques dealer, there is a small charge:

I have just submitted a request though VMS shoots, thanks.
Cost me a tenner, but I hope to recoup that, plus a bit more besides.
