I knew all the places he described when I was in Malaya. T'was a goodly book, so it was.
I've read all is books. LOVED him. He was a very witty man. I met him on two occasions in Salisbury many years ago.
Tom Sharpe, Ian Banks and now Leslie Thomas. Great losses, all of them.
RIP Leslie Thomas, I too enjoyed your books.

Mentioned here, although folks do seem a tad confused over his ID!

Brilliant writer, his wartime stories are great, I'm a big fan. Sad to see him pass.

That whole genre of writers is disappearing fast
I really enjoyed his books and also saw the sun rise over Bugis Street. Rip.
