H.R. Giger has died after a fall

(for anyone not familiar, Giger was the designer of the famous 'Alien' from the Ridley Scott/James Cameron franchise).

Still the best and creepiest movie alien we've ever seen - hard to believe that first film was nearly 35 years ago now.

JJ, he did a poster for the Frankenchrist album featuring lots of willies and other front bottoms, er, interacting. I've never been quite sure how that was allowed out in public.

I think he was obsessed by willes. The Aliens head is a big willy, with a smaller willy that extends out of it's mouth.

Well I am a sci fi fan and apart from feeling as sorry as I feel when I hear that anybody has died, I couldn't give a hoot.

My Giger memory:

I saw 'Alien' at the cinema when I was 13 years old. Even though I was underage (it was X-Rated), I managed to get in with three mates because I got the tickets and was very tall for my age.

We sat through the film, went home and then many years later, when we were all on holiday together in Italy, we discussed the film and it turned out that all four of us were so scared, that we all individually wanted to run out of the cinema, but we had to 'brave it out' because we had gone as a group.

For this, I applaud Mr Giger.
