Very good! If I had 1% of your talent, I'd be happy - I can barely draw a stick-man! :-)

I love it! Very good indeed.

No need to start again, could have put as answer to your original post,
then folks would realise what you're talking about.

(Paintings not bad by the way!)

Thanks very much for your help. I'm new to posting messages.
Also, thanks for the comments about the cat, too.
I've added the link to the first post too.

You will soon find your way around. :-)

Is it from a life study or not?

Thanks, Mamyalynne.
It's from a photograph.
It's great :-)

One question though, why did you paint it upside down?

You asked 'Why upside down?' Boo. Well, I once read that if you are painting from a photograph or doing a portrait then it is often easier if you turn the photo upside down. Your brain has to re-register the image, - it isn't a photo of a cat (or person etc) now, it is just a series of shapes. That way, you can draw what you really see, and it's easier to get the proportions right. It does seem to work.
I wonder... has anyone else tried this?

That's interesting Jonesgal, not heard that before, I do dabble a little,
I'll give it a try.
Yes I heard a similar phrase regarding painting - paint what you see, not what you know to be there".

I think your pic is fab, wish I had a talent like that.
