Another few hours work and she could buy the whole street !.
Maybe she is saving up for some dental work.
Or saving to repay her former employer
Daffy, a guy's that I work with wife is responsible for that haircut !.
Was it done for a dare tony?
Ah, yes, she stole from her former employer didn't she! She should definitely be made to pay that money back.
LOL, it ought to have been hadn't it. My workmates mrs is a mobile hairdresser.
Up here, north of the border, there doesn't seem to be the same attitude towards council housing. Both my parents worked full-time and I was brought up in a council housing estate. They eventually purchased their house which was semi-detached with a large garden.

Nobody here seems to question where you stay and whether you own or rent your property.
If a Council Tenant pays their rent I can't see a problem.
It's not about that, wolf. It's the fact that she is earning good money now and maybe she should buy or rent privately and let someone more deserving be housed by the local council.
Up to a point, Mamyalynne - but as council house tenant she probably doesn't pay a market rent, and there would an outcry if for an example an affluent Tory was found to live in a council house (excluding the Royal Family!)
I'm not sure she will be earning so well for any length of time though.
As Daffy rightly points out her luck could run out at any given moment, she has children in local schools.
If Councils had an earning level above which you could not rent then obviously they would act.
Nobody would pay 'market rent' to live in that street.

She no longer lives in James Turner St and lives with her boyfriend.
Thank you hc, that wasn't made clear in the OP.
Dee moved out:

I certainly don't blame her for moving out - not because she is 'too good' for the street now but because of all the strangers knocking on her door asking for a 'selfie' with her and a cup of tea. And the abusive visitors, too.
I like her and wish her and her children well. ( I see the haircut police are on line )
Haircut police? do me a favour! we are entitled to an opinion and mine is that her hair 'style' is blooming awful.
I'm sure she'd hate your hair too Daffy.
I don't mind her. She's making money while she can and has stopped her benefits accordingly. In other words, she's stopped claiming benefits and has got into work.
Not good enough?
