This is NOT a test to see how good your punctuation is, but something else - which I shall reveal later ..... or it may well be revealed by others on here :)

All I want you to do, is punctuate the following sentence AND state whether you're male or female .... all shall be revealed :)

Please do NOT look at any of the other answers before you reply, as I don't want you influenced in any way.

The sentence is:

A woman without her man is nothing

'A woman without her man is nothing' is a fallacy
A woman, without her man, is nothing. Male
A woman, without her man, is nothing. (Female)
a woman! Without her, man is nothing.

Indeterminate gender.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
A woman, without her man is nothing. (F)
A female would write:

A woman, without her man is nothing
A woman - without her man is nothing (female)
Have seen this before...
But how I would punctuate without thinking is...
A woman, without her, man is nothing.
I am male.
A woman, without her man, is nothing. (M)
Blimey one possibility

" a woman, without her man, is nothing " is pretty insulting
Oh, interesting gav!
Oh dear, and after two glassettes of Malbec !

I will give it a try :::

"A woman, without her man, is nothing"

A woman without, her man is nothing. H
A woman: without her, man is nothing (F)

Jeez - didn't expect so many answers so quick.

I was wondering, as someone pointed out, how males and females would punctuate this.

I was wondering if anyone (possibly females??) would punctuate it in the less obvious way:

"A woman: without her, man is nothing."

Instead of the more obvious:

"A woman, without her man, is nothing."

...... both having completely different meanings.

Man would write
"A woman, without her man, is nothing"

Woman would write
"A woman: without her, man is nothing"

although i don't believe in the sentiment, i would have phrased it as --

-- a woman is nothing, without her man

(male)
A woman, without her, man is nothing!!
I think I just did Giz
