Kindle - How Do I Get It To Work?

I successfully downloaded a Kindle for my computer from Amazon some time ago and successfully used it. My computer broke down some time after that - for which the Kindle wasn't to blame - and had to be professionally repaired.

When it came back, the Kindle was no longer there, though I still have Kindle files on my computer which I bought from Amazon. Today, I downloaded and installed a new Amazon Kindle. Although the Kindle icon is there, I can't get it to work.

Does any of you know how I can fix this?

delete all mentions of the kindle program - and go back to Amazon and reload it again - its Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation
