First Edition...?

I have a "Simpsons" book, in which is stated "First Edition"

Now, I have it in mind that this may be irrelevant regarding price, for various reasons.

Underneath "First Edition" is a string of numbers/letters which may be more revealing:

90 91 92 93 94 RRD 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1

It's in my mind that the book is thereby worth very little, but I'd love to be told otherwise...

Anyone know what these numbers mean?

The 10 9 8 list is a number line - it's another way of identifying first editions. I was told that if the 1 is missing, it's a second edition, if the 2 is missing it's a third and so on. I'm sure someone will now tell me that I'm wrong!
Check it out on Ebay - that will give you some idea of the prices that various editions are feching - and yes, Mistopheles, you are right, not wrong!
