What Home Printer Brand Is Best For Low Running Costs?

I am looking to get a new printer.

I run a business so use will be a little bit more than av average household.

I will be printing in both colour and, black and white.

What printer brand is best to buy (cheapest) when considering ink cost and usage?

I have had a few different printers and the best I have come across is the Canon pixma series. Trouble free, wifi enabled so can be located away from busy areas. Good quality b&w and colour prints, including photo quality with the right paper. Some have a scanner facility which may be useful and even a fax facility. I have been running the MX410 for about 5 years and have had no problems. I can even set it to print silently, although this takes a little longer, which may be useful if you need a quiet environment.

I have also found that they will run happily with generic cartridges if I want to save dosh. There are reports that some printers, HP for instance, are unhappy without branded refills.
