Dame Stella Rimmington refused to name names but said they were 'familiar'
Comments have triggered mass speculation as to who she was referring to
Among possible candidates are Seamus Milne, Andrew Murray & Jon Lansman
Former MI5 director-general made the claims at Cheltenham Literature Festival
Allegations but it could be very worrying. Are labour supporters worried?

The other two names I'm not familiar with. I hope they are expelled if they harbour Stalinist/anti-democratic goals.

old one
Jack Straw asked to see his file when he was Home Secretary
and I think sir Humphrey even tried - "I dont think you are supposed to sir."
1964 - Harold Wilson was particularly worried about being monitored and also of cabinet coups - but the system was heavily criticised / satirised at the time on the lines of:
"Someone is seen carrying a rag called "The Red Flag" in London and the security services say - 'this is bad infiltration we must find out where he bought it from.' "
Lenin by the way who was chased by the Cheka - was very happy to use the same people to oppress HIS enemies, led or topped by Feodor Dzerinsky I think

// they monitored Harold Wilson, didn't they - while others were monitoring them.//
comes out in Peter Wrights Spy Catcher
he didnt by the way - catch many spies
Spy catcher in Oz is worth a mench because Downing St intentionally perjured itself in court in Oz ( I mean blimey did the kangaroos notice for chrissakes?) and the AG threatened to raid Downing St during the case.
He didnt last - the attorney general - the actors father - Sir Michael Havers. He was unrepentant and said he would do the same thing again as an honest man - so the only real question is: how did this man of principle rise so far ?
