Tv Biographies Of Film Stars
20 Answers
I’ve just finished watching ‘Feud’, about the relationship between Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, and I’d like to know more about them. I know there’s a series of biographies about film stars on one of the less well-known TV channels but for the life of me I can’t remember what channel it’s on or what the series is called. Does anyone know? Something like ‘Remembering whoever’?

I have Sky and they have a channel called Sky Arts. They some " Discovering" programs, today for example they have "Discovering John Wayne" and tomorrow they have "Discovering Charlton Heston"

I also found it sad, that after a lifetime of acting in films they were essentially redundant and forced into poor shows and the odd macabre film.
Joan Crawford as you say must have had a horrendous time of it, terrible what he did to her whilst she was so very young. It must have affected her for the rest of her life.

all the acting was great but Susan Sarandon stood out as Bette Davis,
when you think on it how many roles shall we say are available to older actresses, apart from say Judy Dench i can't think of that many, its all to do with youth and glamour.. I hope that these ladies win lots of awards for Feud, as they deserve it.
