Im going into my final year of school but i have already completed many pieces of English coursework. I dont know however whether or not they all get sent away to be marked by an official marker, if a few get sent away to an official marker, my teacher marks them and send away my results or my teachers marks SOME of them and sends away my results! Maybe someone out there knows the answer. I dont know what exam board we r using for english. Pls help if u can xxx

The best advice I can give you is, ask your teacher. He or she will have the most information on the procedure. All examining boards and schools differ, so there is'nt one way of doing things. Good luck!
What happens is that your teacher marks every piece and sends the marks for each student to the exam board. The exam board then asks for the coursework of a small sample of students to check the teacher's marking. If the board is happy with the teacher's marking they send the sample back and use the teacher's marks. Occasionally, the board isn't happy with the teachers marking and may ask to be sent ALL of the students' coursework folders. This doesn't happen very often though.
