No. But I agree, it sounds interesting!
Iain Banks wrote it. I've read some of his books. Very good. I shall look out for this one.
Does it have a sting in the tail ?
Yes, i have read it. A bit harrowing in places but definitely worth the read. I'd recommend it.
Yes - highly recommended. It was the one that put Iain Banks on the literary map.
Some of his subsequent novels were a little weird for my taste, but I did particularly like Espedair Street, The Crow Road, Whit, Dead Air, and Stonemouth.
He wrote some great science fiction too, under the name Iain M Banks. Tragically he died in 2013 at the age of 59.
