How Often To Make Tea For Workmen?
37 Answers
Daft question. (Well, we are in CB)
I’ve had workmen in my house for some days and there will be a few more for a while. They seem to love their tea. I don’t drink it myself so am not in the habit of just putting the kettle on throughout the day. How often is enough to keep them happy but not seem like a maid or waitress pandering to them?

I think as they're going to be in the house for some time I would make sure there's plenty of teabags, milk and sugar, buy some inexpensive biscuits, tell them to help themselves - then stand well clear.
I'm sure they'll appreciate it, and also that they won't feel you're 'hovering' and watching what they're doing all the time.

237sj totally out of order, but that was 20 years ago.
About the same time I had to cut a granite worktop for a guy in Sloan Square in London. Dont know who he was but could afford ex Gurkas as doormen.
Anyway he wanted this granite cut for new cooker arriving next morning so marked it out to his dimensions, i said i would allow 3mm each side of appliance, he said no so cut to these dimensions. We did did needless to say back next day to take another 3mm off each side which is not easy.
