Best 'word' Software?

Tried Libre and Open office.
I'm interested in the Word, Writer, etc part of office software.
Wondering if there is anything better out there?

All three of those office suites have word processors that are as good as Microsoft Word. However, if you're finding that you need more flexibility when designing your documents, you don't need a word processor at all. It's desktop publishing (DTP) software that you should be looking for, with the mighty Scribus being by far the best freebie in the field:
