Can anyone remember children's books that had colour coded dragons (or was it birds?) on the back cover that indicated the age the book was suitable for? Was it Puffin books?

Just looked. Not Puffin. Dragon Books by Granada Publishing. Blue was for ‘young boys and girls’. Red for ‘boys and girls’. Green for ‘older boys and girls’.

I remember those!
It was dragons. I’m sure I’ve got some still. When my mog moves off my lap I’ll have a look.
While mog is still on my lap, memory tells me that red dragons were on books like Enid Blyton’s mystery and adventure series. Blue was for things like Topsy and Tim. I think there was a green, but can’t remember what age group that was for.

I’m fairly sure the publisher was Puffin.
