Now that vat been removed from ebooks, when will we notice the price difference on Amazon

Perhaps if you ask Amazon, you'll get some idea of their intentions?
Amazon doesn't charge VAT on eBooks:
"Printed books, digital newspaper and subscriptions, e-periodicals and subscriptions, and Kindle electronic books are eligible for 0% VAT.

However, certain non-printed book items are charged at the standard VAT rate of 20%. These include audio books and CD-ROMs"

The change came into effect on Friday for all eBooks where Amazon sets the price. However, where Amazon simply acts as an agent for a seller, there is nothing to prevent that seller from sticking to the old price and simply keeping the money which would have previously gone to the Exchequer:
