It's Jamaican slang... it can mean two completely different things. One is roughly translated as Godd@mn.. the way this is derived is Ras = God (taken from Ras Tafari, the name given to Haile Selassie, the rastafarians view him as their risen savior).. Claat is a generalized swearword, like damn is to us. Hence, RasClaat. The other definition is Pantywaist :) The band likes it.

The word 'claat' is a derogatory term - it comes from 'clot' - a 'bloodclaat woman' is a woman who is menstruating.

Reastafarians are not noted for their forward approach to the fairer sex - women are generally inferior, and useful for cooking, cleaning and sex.

A menstruating woman is seen as 'unclean' and is usually forbidden to cook for men because he will contaminate the food she handles.

'Bloodclaat' is a derogatory term for anyone - likening them to a menstruating, and therefore inferior and contaminated individual.

'Rasclaat' probably means generally unwelcome, on a similar basis.

i asked some west indian friends at work and got a range of answers.

generally it means eff off, but i was told that claat means a cloth and ras meant @rse, hence it may mean the equivelant of bog roll. it would follow that blood claat is there for a form of sanitary towel. pussy claat would be the same and bamber claat could correspond to batty claat again as a form of anal cloth.
