There is a modern art painting in the MoMa in New York, it is a black background with a red lightning strike down the middle. Does anyone know the name and painter?

From the description, it sounds like Rothko or Newman.

Visit www.moma.org and browse the collection - you might see something similar, if not the exact piece of work.
