Did anyone else love this book,when you were a child? I lost count of the number of times I read it!

Pauline and Petrova.....one of my favourite stories as a child. I love all those books we read .Heidi,Little Women,What Katy Did, did you ever read a book called Serephina?

No,don't think I did read that,but the name is familiar. Pauline,petrova and posey!!..cocoa warmed on the fire,g.u.m.!!..I still have a beautiful picture version of little women and heidi...Was a big Enid Blyton fan too,all the mystery books are still in my mother's attic!

Oh.....I just loved that book and if I remember rightly it had two sequels. Happy days and sixties music....my life is complete!

And Enid Blyton, for all she has been slated by modern day critics, got lots of children reading. All those picnics with canned peaches! Mmmm....I think we had it good in those days. Children today mostly don't read.......and remember all those Paul Temple Serials on the radio?

Hi celti,didn't know about the sequels!!!...Must suss that out!!..I agree with you about Enid Blyton,because of her,at the age of 10,I apparently had the reading age of a 14 yr old. All my old books,which as I had said,are still in the attic,were subsequently read voraciously by my niece,and she has turned out a bit of a bookworm too!..There's no substitute for being interested in reading,early in life! Btw,do you read Harry Potter now? Love all that myself!

Sorry,you asked about Paul Temple?..I remember tv shows about him on a Sunday night?..He was played by Francis Matthews.
