i find them quite strange, but am no expert on his works....
dunno - I suppose you're gonna tell us. Yawn.
If this is about a removed thread this may well go to.
It's too early in the day for guessing games, Canary42!

I once spent 2½ hours going around a massive exhibition of Dali's work in the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid. Although I enjoyed it greatly, I came out with no greater understanding of the man or his work than when I went in. It's all way beyond my understanding!
me too ^^
I'm a massive fan of Dali's art.

I have no idea what the OP means, but there are hints that it might be mischief.
if canary replies i will be surprised...

Art is subjective, some will like it others not.
Chris // It's all way beyond my understanding!//

Why do people approach artworks as if they are a 'problem' which requires solving?

Do you 'understand' a piece of music which you love ?
Surely depends on the art khandro. For me any abstract painting needs some understanding otherwise it just looks a mess. Same for the piles of dog poo once exhibited in the Tate, people were sitting on stools (no pun intended) and I couldnt understand it.
ymb, I agree. Some works 'need' to be understood. Anything less detracts from the purpose.

or

Some people will belive anything they're told if it's dressed up in flowery imagery and language.

Horses for courses, or indeed swimming pools.
I don’t agree.
I look at an abstract painting and either like it or not, depends on the colours, shapes, texture, but not my understanding of it.
I think the eyes need to rationalise information they receive, the ears don't.

How do you rationalise a sunset?
Khando - You look at a sunset, and your eyes send information to your brain that tells your concious mind that you are looking at a sunset.

Your mind can't do that with a Dali painting, and I'm sure that was always Mr Dali's intention.
// I came out with no greater understanding of the man or his work //

he did an ad for French chocco - je suis fou completement fou de Chocolat Lavin !

also 1970 Dali was seeking inspiration by flinging cats by their tails onto roof. The Thpanith RSPCA protested and a compromise was reached - -- he put mattresses on the roof for the cats to land on

AB needs me
