Undoubtedly, but as no doubt there’ll be the angle from some that Khan is a Labour mayor I just gave it some balance as many reckoned she was in Johnson’s pocket.
she was the one in charge when officers were taking selfies with the corpses of dead girls and sharing with their friends.
And yet Khan says the "inquiry" didn't look into this
“He appears to have omitted many facts relevant to [Dick’s] departure as commissioner, including any of the abhorrent scandals that happened on her watch – including the photographing [by force members] of the murdered sisters Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman and then sharing these with other serving officers, and the murder of Sarah Everard by a serving officer."
A fairly damning report on Khan.
But the fact is that Dick should have resigned months earlier and Khan should not have needed to pressurise her into going.
The situation not helped by Priti Patel being useless and ineffective.
Couzens is in court again, over flashing allegations. I'm not sure this is really necessary - if they'd been acted on at the time it might have saved Everard from being murdered; but they weren't
Yes, he was exposing himself at McDonalds just a few days before he went on to murder Everard.
The police response has never been revealed, only that Couzens was still at liberty to commit the murder.
But, as the recent report revealed, the Met ignored most crimes, which is why they are in special measures.
Apart from Couzens horrible crime (may he die soon from some painful & incurable disease). it amazes that someone so stupid that he thought he could get away with it could actually get into the Police "Service" in the first place!
Poor lady. Head of the Met but feels intimidated. Couldn't she stand up for herself? Pathetic attempt to get some kind of pay-off. Khan couldn't bully the skin off a rice pudding. Silly little man. How rubbish are our police.
Re Couzens; i thought only trials for serious crimes were tried at the Old Bailey? I know he has opted for trial by jury for his indecent exposure charges - playing the game, no doubt - but why the Old Bailey?
// There were a number of failings//
in Khan's dealings, and the leddy is going for constructive dismissal
it is not WHY she went - she was cap at her job
it was HOW he did it - he didnt follow the well known rules and the London rate payer now has to pay !
did nt the Blessed Barrees do this - get to be mayor and said "I cant work with so and so" - so and so resigns that night and then presents a bill ( and gets it) for half a mill for constructive dismissal !
it is all about loo-loo and pensions
and nothing to do with dead Londoners of any age
