I am not happy with today's Wordle. I got it in 4 but only because there was no other letter that could possible sit in that space. It is not a word I have heard nor read although it is in the dictionary.

How did you get on?
Haven't played wordle for ages Baz.
Thanks for the heads up.
Will do so tomorrow
I was the same Barry. I got it in 4 because it was the only letter that fitted.
I also got it in four. Sometimes it is just pure jam, this time I managed to work it out ok. As you say Barry, there weren't many options. The base word helped
Same as you barry and for the same reason. I suppose being American based, odd words will occasionally crop up.
After trying three wrong options for the first letter, number six worked - and just as well. It was the only one left.

I don't the Daily Mail's Codeword online every day, too, and I get very frustrated at that because it seems to be US based and uses a lot of nouns, especially US states. Recently it had 'watchermecallit'.
Barry are you sure you mean Dail Mail Codeword as there are only 13 spaces on that gridand the word you mention is 15 letters long
Just done it & in 4 too. Not a word in my vocab.
Question Author
Yes, I do mean the DM Codeword, it was Saturday's in the DM app
I'm thinking it might be a Scottish word? I don't use it every day but have said it in sentences on occasions.
Question Author
According to the dictionaries I've looked at it is US usage, the UK variant is one letter different.
Same in 4
Haven't done Wordle for a while - got fed up of ruining my sequences by forgetting (usually on a Saturday). Have, in fact, rediscovered where to play online Scrabble (it was banned in the UK for a while?) so i'm kick-starting the old grey matter with that.

As for today's Wordle, i did it after reading Barry's "come back when you've done it" and, like many on here, i got it in 4. I don't believe i've ever used the word without a 'ker' prefix, but it is one i have heard of.
Cambridge Dictionary has it Barry. 16.00
Some would probably say it with an "o" but I say it with a "u".
I got in five goes. I wasn’t unhappy with the word. It’s good to discover new words.
Question Author
Ken, I would appreciate a link to the online Scrabble, I am playing it in the Classic Words app but it is not challenging
Question Author
Haz, the Cambridge has it as US with the UK variant spelt differently
Question Author
Thanks, Ken
