Is it a good likeness?  I think it's a good painting but I'm not entirely sure it's a good likeness.

He has always looked younger than his age, I think. Even when he first started on tv.

Not a good likeness, and also the artist has done the same as he did with Charles, ie given him massive sausage fingered hands.

So the artist seems to pick a colour and do the whole picture in various shades of it. I don't like it.

I think Michelangelo did that with his statue of David.  To me his hands seem way out of proportion to the rest of his body.

The David statue is well known for having big hands. It might be something to do with the technical issues of working with stone.

There's no such issue with paint. I do like this artists work though.

Well I thought the likeness was OK - not so convinced by the rest of the painting though.  There is the face, strongly depicted, and then the hands, very strongly depicted through perspective which does give the depth needed -, but -, but the (to me) faint, amorphous mass in the middle was unsettling enough to spoil it for me. 

I liked the red King one.

The eyes don't look right to me and the hands seem to be out of proportion
