Without anything for the weekend, how much do you pay the barber for your haircut. It dont affect me because I've been shaving my own for yonks. Happen to look at a price list yesterday and was gobbed smacked on how much they charge for a bog standard cut. The average cut must only take 10 mins .

I go to a Turkish barbers, haicut, eyebrow trim, ear hair burned and nose hair wax. Pensioners price £7. Takes approx 30 mins, I leave a £3 tip.

My husband pays £15

My local, old fashioned barber charges pensioners £7 for a dry cut.

The fancy pants Turkish barber opposite doesn't want pensioners and charges minimum £30

My barber charges £8 and i'm usually in the chair for about 15 mins. He cuts it to my satisfaction, so i guess it's money well spent.

I think he raises his prices every couple of years - usualy by £1.

Same as DDIL my hubby pays £15.

Husband pays £15.

Don't forget the overheads they have to pay for.

Used to be £7.00 pre-Covid, then £10.00 after.

My sister-in-law does it for nothing now.

How much does 'something for the weekend costs' ?

Does she cut your hair, too, Doug?

Shocked I am, shocked!

An innocent thread about barbering leads to character assassination.

The unkindest cut.

A young woman comes out to my place to cut what hair I have left.

She charges £15 and I give a fiver tip.

I know she lives about 5 miles from me so the tip covers her travel time and petrol.

Like nicebloke I pay nothing as shave my own and have done for about 15 years now.

One of my SiL did tap ne for £15 a few months back as barber only took cash!

Bazile 12.14. A lot less i would think than an unwanted family. :●)

They charge around £15 where I live but OH does it for me these days.  Doesn't take long but she says she should charge me a search fee.

^^^home made are even cheaper 😁

My son pays £15. Pre covid it was £9.

Mine was to nicebloke at 1230

Husband rarely leaves the house now, but really needs a haircut. He asked me to cut it but I think it would end up much worse.
I bought hairdressing scissors during Covid lockdown in case we ended up looking like Stone Age people.
