Reportedly fixed now. If several banks were affected does that suggest outside interference?

The BBC report suggests that the problems might be because of outdated bank software. I'd have thought that unlikely, bearing in mind the money at stake.

No probs, used card this morning - but NOT Barclays.

Lloyds, Halifax, TSB and Bank of Scotland are all part of a single corporate group aren't they? So it's not really several banks affected, just associated bodies probably using the same or similar software.
