Does anyone know the ratio of water to plaster of paris to make it set hard?

Mix until it is the consistency of double cream

the usual trick is to keep adding the powder to the middle of the bucket until it peaks just above the level of the water - then mix with your fingers. this of course depends on the shape of your mixing bowl/bucket.


it should then be as sequin said. once you start the mixing it is hard to add more powder so you can't know its like cream until it too late to add more


to ensure you have enough fill the mould with water first then put it in the bucket then add a bit more water


any amount of plaster will set - it depends how sturdy you want the plaster to be
