I was not aware he had one.Other characters dream of owning a farm/land but Crooks is just portrayed as a bitter man who feels whites get all the best deals.

Having said that maybe its just been a long time since I read it

He didnt actually have a dream but wanted to share in Lennys and Georges dream of owning their own land and farm. But Curlys wife pointed out that it would never happen as he was just a 'nig*er' .
ok, just checked with my son whose doing this for gcse (you too??) and he says Crooks dreams of being equal to white men. Have you tried checking out the bbc bitesize web pages for this book. It has a lot of good suggestions on it.

yes, gcses...fun!

Wasn't it candy (the old man) that wanted to share land with george and lenny?....

anyway, thank you for the equality thing, there are lots of quotes that i could use for that!

cheers x

Crooks actually is afraid of disappointment which is why he doesnt have a dream. But he gets caught up in Geroge and Lenny's dream and wishes he could work on the land too
As Acorn says it was not an actual dream but more of an aspiration in their lives. That of course was to settle down with a bit of land etc and live happily ever. Sadly not to be.
His dream is to relive his childhood with family, friends, land and a plentitude of food. Jus tread the conversation he had with Lennie.
