got a japanese tea set for my mum when i was in japan many moons ago. it was so delicate i.e really thin but incredibly detailed and if you look inside the cups an image of a geisha is shown.also got her [my favourites] small japanese men sitting at a table with a tea set.they are about 1 1/2 inches high and have all their facial features perfect i.e beards, eyebrows.ever get the chance to go to japan-TAKE IT !

ps to my previous reply, although i have LOOKED at a lot of japanese porcelain, i'm no expert.don't want to mislead you with the ramblings of an old sea dog.

Thanks jaberwocky, yours sounds really nice, but what this is about, is that my wife has a minature Japanese teapot, delicately handpainted, A japanese friend has identified the signature on the bottom as, in English, 'Zenkozan', she says that one of the symbols represents a mountain, but try as I might, I can get sites up foe Zen, or Kozan, but nothing for the two together, can't fing anything about a mountain either.
tell you what lonnie, there's quite a few mountains in japan but the only one i know is fuji.

I googled Japanese mountains, but none have a name thats anywhere like ZenKozan.
