is it right to keep assyrian reliefs in the british museum in light of the recent conflict in Iraq. i have to do a presentation on this subject but i think my arguement is a little one sided, any opinions would be really helpful, thanks

thanks for your answer that's pretty much the angle i was coming from and i havent spoken to anyone that thinks too differently either
they must be a lot safer in Britain than being looted in Iraq - though of course some might argue they were looted by the British in the first place. But I still find it hard to argue that the Greeks shouldn't have the Elgin Marbles back.
