I see England, I see France

Last week I saw an old episode of Moonlighting. the name of the episode was I see England, I see France, I see Maddie's netherworld. It immediately struck me as probably being a paraphrase, so I searched for that phrase barring the netherworld-part, and got tons of hits. I gather it's a 'teasing rhyme' (if that be the term) and that the last part of it would normally be I see (name)'s underpants. But even that sounds like a paraphrase to me, as if the origin was oh I don't know - a Churchill speech or something... "I see England, I see France, united in ..." etcetera. (Just fantasizing.)

Does anyone know anything about the origin - or if the rhyme is the origin.

Thanks in advance and for now, more personal thanks sometime next week.

Another win...?! It's the third time I can recall and I'm not even counting! Well Robinia this calls for a toaster - sorry Miss DiPesto didn't serve you the breakfast you asked for this morning. That girl is hopeless, all she does is answer the phone speaking in rhyme (remember?) You wouldn't believe how clean I am Vinny. I wanted to do drugs but couldn't for the life of me get into bad company when I was young - I was this girl, not exactly with the in-crowd - and now I don't want to anymore. I likes a little glass of red red wine though or Campari or sherry or Gammeldansk but it knocks me out very quickly (well that mix would...) Why does beta cram everything together no matter how spaciously you write it, it's annoying. Anyway - nitie nite!
ooh, all that toast! shaney will be here any moment with the chs.
Actually it's win no 2 (10 last week) so does that mean I've another one to come? have you seen the future MadameKit?...is it Chateau-shaped? I hope so, plenty of the past has been s**t-shaped :o)
strangely enough I've had a Cezanne as my desktop since twelfth night...I'd had a dream about sailing with Elton John...(yeh, I know) to an island & the colours were so bright it was like a painting...love it

oh, look at the time...I'll turn into a pumpkin...night x
theresnothingwrongwithbeta..(:O)
nighty nite.

yea kip thats what i use to tell me mother..(:O)
mange tout...

I just had a go on beta & got the error message doo-dah when I posted...luckily I didn't submit again or you'd now be sending me food parcels to the dungeon 'cos it had actually
gone.
