I've just finished Faerie Tale by Raymond E Feist and want to move on to some others of his. Has anyone read Magician, by any chance...?

Haven't read it myself but my Husband has all his books and can't wait to read the next one that's due out.

Read and enjoyed "Faerie Tale", but have never been able to bring myself to read another of his books (they seem like yet-another-interminable-fantasy-sequence to me). That said, I know a lot of people who rate "Magician" highly.

Faerie Tale is a bit out of Raymond E Feist's norm. It was a great stand alone, but more fantasy horror. His other writing is all traditional science fantasy.

Magician is fantastic, I can't recommend it enough. The rest of the series is good but begins to tale away. He collaborated with Janny Wurts on the Empire series which is based in the same world. The Empire books and Magician are the best of Feist.

Enjoy!

Agree with Alba, Magician is ruddy awesome!

Ooooooh, thanks all :0)

Someone close to me suggested Feist but i haven't read anything like that before, so i looked into it and found Faerie Tale... i am a bit of a faerie-nut, so it seemed an ideal intro!

He told me it was very different and as i enjoyed it, i was hoping the other stuff wasn't going to be 'different bad', so i'm delighted to read these comments.

Amazon here i come.

Thanks all :0)
