Does anyone know where is the cheapest place to find secondhand US fiction?

I have looked on abe books/ade books/biblio books etc and a lot of the fiction I want to buy which isnt available in the UK is prohibitive after the cost of postage has been bumped onto the price of the book .You can find books for a dollar but the charges applied can be upto ten times the original price......any suggestions please?

I accept that no-one is going to deliver them to me for free but some of the charges are a rip-off

i've just recieved a book off amazon us this morning it cost me around 8GBP

the tip is go for the cheapest seller then the postage doesn't matter and the conditionof my book is top notch!

use a site like www.xe.com to convert the price down you may be pleasently surprised cos the british pound is quite strong over the US dollar!

If you know what you want, you could try http://www.abebooks.co.uk/ an association of booksellers from around the world with new, second-hand, rare, and out-of-print books. Enter a title or author and see who has what. You can select to show UK sellers first. (I know what you mean about postage from the States).
Why not try ebay? I have bought many books on ebay, including one originally bought in Canada which was not available here.
