Robin Hobb

Anyone read her trilogy books? I loved them all and was sad when they finished..Anyone else feel the same?

Well, as no-one has responded yet, I'll add a reply. I generally stay clear of fantasy trilogies, having read way too many of them. I had a proof copy of one of Ms Hobbs' books (the first of the third trilogy?) and as I had been vaguely tempted by the earlier books and one of my favourite authors (George R.R. Martin) rates her highly, decided to give it a go.

Maybe I didn't start at the right place, but I got about 3/4s of the way through and then lost interest (not something that I normally do). That said, most of the people I know who have read all the books think that they are wonderful.

Fantastic books with some terrific ideas.The seaserpents in The Liveship Trilogy,in particular,kept me guessing right to the end.The Fool has to be my favourite character,the only one to appear in all the books of the first three trilogies.

I wasn't quite as enthralled by Shaman's Crossing,it didn't seem to have the same depth as the previous books.
