why is sirius black on the run at the end of the prisoner of azkaban/ goblet of fire? I want to read order of the phoenix but can't quite remember some of the details of those two books! if anyone can give me a short summary of the situation, it would be greatly appreciated!

because he cant prove that peter pettigrew ( scabbers killed all those people as he escaped, so sirius is still wanted and will have his soul sucked out if he is given to the dementors
