60s comic character

There was a character in one of the UK comics in the 60s that was a boy with a radio controlled toy army. Anyone remember name and comic?

Think he made a brief reappearance around 50th/60th anniversary (88/98)

Used to be horribly jealous of him when I was a kid, though as a fanatical Airfix modeller, I did have a few reservations about the technical accuracy of his models...!
