I asked recently if anyone had read this book and no-one replied. Now, whether this was due to no-one had read it or that no-one bothered to reply I am not sure, but I have just read the first 5 Chapters and can thoroughly recommend it to everyone as a wonderful read.

It is indeed about our Prime Minister or it would be if he, and many of his contemporaries, had attended a certain Edwardian public school in the early part of the last century. It is presided over by Dr. Bush who is lost in his Biblical studies. The Matron is a certain Mrs Boothroyd, his classmates include Brown, Cook, Kinnock and Smith to name but a few and Signor Berlusconi owns the towns ice-cream shop just along from Thatcher's grocery. He organizes a concert for the school; Archer is elected Treasurer and Campbell is given the job of printing the programmes once they have got the required funds from Maxwell (who always seems to have copious amounts of money). That's as far as I have got so far, and the book is a delight to read. I am savouring every word, reading every page twice and every Chapter a third time before moving on to the next.
